Clip

Two jobs that start from something you already have: /clip upscale makes a video sharper with FLUX Video Upscale, and /clip avatar makes a photo talk with HeyGen Avatar IV.

  • 15slongest clip to upscale
  • 50 MBlargest clip to upscale
  • ×1.5, ×2 or ×3upscale factors
  • 12avatar voices, or your own audio

Entry I

Upscale a video

Run /clip upscale and attach the video (mp4, webm or mov), up to 15 seconds and 50 MB. Its real length is measured before a price is shown, and short clips are billed as at least 2 seconds.

In the panel pick the Scale (×1.5, ×2 or ×3) and the Mode: Precise keeps the picture as it is (35 credits a second at ×1), Creative may add detail (50 a second at ×1). The rate is multiplied by the scale: 5 seconds at ×2 Precise is 350 credits.

The optional prompt guides what to sharpen. Leave it empty for a straight upscale.

Entry II

Talking avatar

Run /clip avatar with a photo and a script. In the panel pick the length (4s, 6s, 8s, 10s, 12s or 15s), the resolution (720p or 1080p) and a voice:

Cassidy · English · female, Andrew · English · male, Amelia · Spanish · female, Antonio · Spanish · male, Chloe · French · female, Thomas · French · male, Leonie · German · female, Otto · German · male, Kyoko · Japanese · female, Satoshi · Japanese · male, Kore · Multilingual · female and Orus · Multilingual · male.

Attach audio instead to use your own voice; the voice menu then goes away. It costs 50 credits a second of video.

The script has to fit the length: about 18 characters per second of video. Pick a longer length for a longer script.

Entry III

A photo that works

A clear, real face

A sharp photo where the face is easy to see. Illustrations and trading-card art often fail.

Good light

Even light on the face. Better image quality gives a more natural result.

Write how you speak

The avatar takes tone and rhythm from the script. Short sentences, natural punctuation, no stage directions.

Entry IV

Recipes

Requests you can copy into Discord and change to fit.

Sharpen a phone clip

Copy this

/clip upscale video: (a 6-second mp4)

Why it works. No prompt: a faithful upscale. Choose ×2 and Precise in the panel.

A spoken welcome

Copy this

/clip avatar photo: (a clear front photo) script: Hi, I'm Sam. Welcome to the server! Grab a role in #roles and say hello.

Why it works. About 80 characters fits a 6-second clip at 18 characters a second.

Your own voice

Copy this

/clip avatar photo: (your photo) script: (what you say, for the record) audio: (your recording)

Why it works. With audio attached, the avatar lip-syncs to your recording instead of a stock voice.

Entry VI

Tips

  1. I

Trim a long video to the part you need before upscaling. You pay per second.

  2. II

Use Precise for faces and text, Creative for landscapes and textures.

  3. III

For the avatar, read the script aloud once. If it feels rushed, pick a longer length.

Entry VII

Limits

  • Upscale takes clips up to 15 seconds and 50 MB.

  • The avatar needs a photo with a face; illustrated or very small faces often fail.

  • 20 seconds between /clip commands, one video job at a time.

Entry VIII

Questions

Why was I charged for 2 seconds on a 1-second clip?

Short clips are billed as at least 2 seconds.

Can the avatar speak another language?

Pick a voice for that language, or a multilingual one, and write the script in that language. Or attach your own audio.

Can I make a new video here?

No, /clip only works on what you bring. Use /video to make a new clip.
